The Community Centre was built 40 years ago in 1975 and is located on the outskirts of the town of Kinlough, Co Leitrim. At the time of building IRE£30,000 was secured to build it. A huge amount of volunteer effort was also required at the time for both fundraising and hard labour. This volunteer effort still continues to date. The Kinlough Community Centre is managed by a voluntary committee who have set up ‘Kinlough Community Development Co. Ltd’ to do so.
The Community Centre encompasses a large hall with a stage, 2 separate meeting rooms (1 currently being used as a small gym area), a fully equipped commercial kitchen, an office, toilets and some store rooms. Then there is a separate building with dressing rooms and showers. The new upper floor of the dressing room building is now a hi tech Hub and meeting room space with 9 hot desks. The football pitch (updated 2020) and training pitch with walking/running track are also on site and an Astro Turf Pitch was opened in June 2015.
The Community Centre is used regularly for classes, events and activities. Please get in touch if you would like to hire a space.
